The General's Thoughts
Episode 10
by Rob Decanio
The different attitudes, of the two remaining tribes, is quite clear in the beginning of this episode. They receive the paint and no instructions. Chapera reacts by having fun and painting each other, while Mogo Mogo just plays it safe and does nothing. Arriving at the challenge site, Mogo Mogo just seems defeated already.
The pairing up and phony merge, ala Thailand, was a very lack luster twist. Nothing really happened except for Amber switching tribes. But how perfect does that work for CBS. Adding to the Rob and Amber drama by separating them.
The new Chapera, (the old Mogo Mogo plus Amber), got the better deal in the switch. They got the better camp with all the toys. The new Mogo Mogo, (the old Chapera minus Amber), especially Rob are just down. Maybe it's just the karma in that camp site?
New camp, new member, nothing helps as Lex and company lose another immunity challenge. Now it gets interesting. The logical thing to do is go to Tribal Council and vote off Amber. Chip away at the original Chapera tribe and get that majority number down. But Rob's plea to Lex, at the end of the immunity challenge, makes some sense. Save Amber and get in good with the majority.
Now the question has to come to mind, do you keep a loyal controllable vote in Jerri, or do you trust in Rob? Lex has stated that's it's business this time around and not about friendship. Rob said that he can't trust anyone in this game and he has been known to be deceitful at times.
If Lex had decides to vote Amber out, he basically would have put a target on his back for the first eviction once the tribes merge. Now he should be in good with Rob, but these guys are both leaders of their tribes and don't like taking the back seat to anyone. Things should get pretty interesting now.
