Well the long awaited merge has finally happened. But even though it may look like paradise, it sure isn't for some of our favorite players.
The Immunity Challenge came down to a face off of the male and female power players from the old tribes. Kathy and Amber faced off and Kathy showed that she is one strong woman while winning over someone half her age in a brutal challenge. The Lex and Rob faced off and Lex had a big lead, over a much younger Rob, but Rob turned it on at the end and won by a slpit second.
This is where it gets hard for me to write about this show. I am such good friends with Lex, Rob and Kathy, that watching some of what went on was hard on me as well.
I am not going to come down hard on any of them. I do understand that Rob is playing hard and playing to win from day one. On the other hand, last week Rob stepped out of the game for a minute and asked Lex for a personal favor in saving Amber. Now if Amber was voted off, Lex would have been held solely responsible even if it was the rest of his tribe that voted for Amber. But, Lex delivered and should have been rewarded for that by not being voted out the first chance Rob got.
I am well aware of what this game is like. Yes, lying and backstabbing is part of the game and just about everyone is doing it. But the favor Rob asked for was personal and there was no honor in what he did to Lex.
All I have to say is, thank God it wasn't me! Rob may have lost friends in Lex and Kathy, but me he would have had to worry what I would do ten years from now on a dark night in a parking lot when he is getting in his car.
