Survivor Skills catches up with Survivor 4's Boston Rob to find out what he has been doing since his
show and get his thoughts on Survivor Thailand.
SurvivorSkills: What made you decide to try out for Survivor?
Boston Rob: I just basically took a chance because it looked like fun and I wanted the $$$.
SurvivorSkills: Update us on what you have been up to since the show, How is Life After Survivor?
Boston Rob: It has been fun. I have been able to travel all over the country and see
many places that I probably never would have visited. I have also
participated in many charity events for worthy causes.
SurvivorSkills: Are you still in construction or have you started a new career?
Boston Rob: I was really busy making appearances and doing charity events for a while
after the show was over, so I had to quit my job for a while. Things have
slowed down considerably since the new series has started airing and I am
currently looking for work. It has been a nice year-long vacation
nonetheless.
SurvivorSkills: Do you like the attention you get after being on the show?
Boston Rob: Sure, who wouldn't, but it does get old after a while.
SurvivorSkills: Any funny or strange Survivor fan experience?
Most people are cool but there were a few psycho's. It's only a TV show and
there are always some people that think it's more than that.
SurvivorSkills: Who do you keep in contact with most from your season?
Boston Rob: I talk with most everyone from time to time but I am pretty close with Sean,
Big Rob, Gabe, Tammy, John, and Peter.
SurvivorSkills: Have you become friends with anyone from past seasons?
Boston Rob: Mitchell is hilarious, I also have become friends with Ethan,
Lex, Jenna, Jerri, Amber, Lindsey, and many others.
SurvivorSkills: If Mark Brunett called asking you to be on an All-star Survivor would you do it?
Boston Rob: No Doubt!
SurvivorSkills: What would your strategy be?
Boston Rob: Now that would have to be a secret.
But It would be a combination of what I did before that worked and get rid of what didn't work.
SurvivorSkills: What advice would you give to someone trying out for Survivor?
Boston Rob: Be yourself!
SurvivorSkills: What do you think about Survivor Thailand and the new twist's to the game?
Boston Rob: I am biased to my show as a whole but it is still very entertaining. The new
twist is awesome. Sleeping with the enemy. It will be interesting to see
how this will affect the voting when it comes down to the final 2. Burnett
loves to catch you off guard all the time. I remember the day before our
series started he got us all together and told us to assume nothing.
Now that it is down to 9, who do you see winning Survivor 5?
My guess is Brian, or Ted, if they don't eventually merge or possibly Jake or Erin if they do.
SurvivorSkills: What does the future hold for Robert Mariano?
Boston Rob: Who knows, I have always lived one day at a time. Probably more adventure and excitement.
