How is the game played?
Very easy. After signing up on our Message Board, you log in to your account and make your picks for the next episode in Weekly Picks Forum inside Survivor Skills Pool Category. Each week you make picks for that weeks episode.
When can I make my picks?
You can make your picks after you log in anytime up until 1 day before the show airs on the east coast (Eastern Time Zone). At that time the Weekly Picks forum will be locked. Picks for the next episode will open the next day after the weekly winners and overall standings are posted.
How does the scoring work?
Each week you will be scored based on the picks you made for that weeks episode. There is a minimum of 60 points possible each week. All questions have equal value of 10 points each. Bonus questions may or may not be asked each week, also will be worth 10 points each. Your total Overall score is the sum of all your weekly scores.
What are Bonus Points?
Bonus Points are points you can earn by answering the extra questions that may or may not be asked for that certain week. There will not be Bonus questions every week. You do not have to answer the bonus questions but they do count toward your Overall score. Bonus points are in place to help people that joined the game late and give them a chance to win.
What if there is no correct answer for a question?
There may be a case where we ask a question that for some reason does not have a correct answer. For example, we ask which tribe wins the reward challenge but that week there is no reward challenge. In this case, all players who submit an answer for that question will recieve the points for it. We don't see this happening too often but it is a possibility. Also, if for some reason the person who leaves the island is not voted off, but leaves due to injury, etc, we will still award points as if they were voted off, even though they weren't technically "voted" off. There could also be more than one correct answer for a question. All correct answers are accepted.
How do you determine the overall winner?
The overall winner is the player with the most Overall Points. Incase of a tie, the player with the most Weekly Wins is the winner.
What is a Weekly Win?
The player with the highest score each week will receive a Weekly Win. If two or more players tie for the highest score, both players will be scored with a Weekly Win. Weekly Winners will be awarded 10 points.
How and when is my rank calculated?
Your rank is calculated based on your standing against all other players in the game. Ranks are only updated once a week after each episode.
What happens if I don't make my picks one week?
If you don't make any picks for a week, you will simply earn 0 points for the week. You will still be in the game and still be able to win the game.
What happens if the site goes down and I can't make my picks?
This is could happen for a number of reasons, the site could go down due to a problem with the server, the message board could crash or there could be another major blackout. I will do my best to work around the problem and get everyone's picks in for the week. I recommend you getting you picks in early. You can always change your picks with out a penalty just be sure they are entered 1 day prior to the show airing. We will do our best to make a fair decision in any occurance.
