"Survivor Palau" began on the Pacific's bounding main
Onboard a boat Jeff will reveal a new start for the game
There were twenty survivors rowing a boat of their own
Each wondering which landscape will be their new home
Lush islands are the backdrop for the next thirty nine days
Along stunning coral reefs live giant clams and manta rays
These waters also harbor tales from a decades old war
The remnants of which coexist on many an island shore
An eerie reminder of lives lost in days long gone
A dear son George, a beloved uncle named John
Jeff sailed up to the survivors with a surprise in store
He directed everyone's gaze to a location on shore
A map to water and two machetes will be found on land
As well as Immunity necklaces for one woman, one man
The first of each gender can claim this coveted symbol
This objective will require each to be quick, to be nimble
They paddled most of the way before jumping in to swim
Ian and Jolanda arrived first and scored an Immunity win
The work to build shelter and find water quickly began
They split into groups and each tackled the job at hand
James cursed our host Probst for the lack of some slack
Each had a canteen of water and the clothes on their back
Willard noticed their flag had no tribe name to be found
Now paranoia and confusion was settling in all around
After the new twist's in the game most awaited a topper
While Wanda sang and Jolanda munched a grasshopper
James tried to make fire and Janu monkeyed up a tree
What becomes of their fate they can only wait and see
The next morning Jeff arrived to alleviate the suspense
He called on Ian and Jolanda and it began to make sense
The two Immunity holders led off a brutal tribal selection
The last man and woman standing faced an early ejection
Ian chose Katie and Jolanda picked Bobby Jon
Bobby Jon picked Stephanie and Katie chose Tom
Tom's pick was Janu and Stephanie's was Jeff
There were now a total of twelve survivors left
Janu selected Gregg while Jeff opted for Kim
The mood grew dim as the pickings grew slim
Gregg chose Jennifer and Kim chose James
Which two will see their game go up in flames?
James' choice was Ashlee and Jennifer's was Coby
The odds for those left was now two out of three
When Coby chose Caryn and Ashlee chose Ibrehem
The two new members had a tough call given to them
Ibrehem needed to choose between Wanda and Angie
"Jonathan or Willard?" is what Caryn's choice will be
Angie and Willard were the two who will stay and play
Jonathan and Wanda quickly embarked and sailed away
There was applause for each before saying "so long"
And Wanda treated them to one last "Survivor" song
Jeff passed out their buffs and gave each tribe a name
Finally the survivors felt they were playing the game
"Koror" will wear brown and "Ulong" will wear blue
Jeff said both tribes will be sharing the same beach too
Ulong will include Angie, Jeff, James and Ibrehem
Also Stephanie and Jolanda, Ashlee, Bobby Jon and Kim
The Koror tribe has Tom, Janu, Coby and Caryn
Plus Jennifer and Willard, Gregg, Katie and Ian
No sooner than the survivors had a chance to settle in
They had a combined Reward/Immunity challenge to win
A victory will keep nine away from Tribal Council's reach
Koror and Ulong paddled off to their playing field's beach
Jeff presented a challenge requiring both strategy and force
Try to be the first to complete the "Jungle Obstacle Course"
Conquer a net maze and hanging tires to uncover supplies
A tarp, flint, rice and flour, water and a decision most wise
Koror got their crates, grabbed the flint and were through
But Ulong's Jolanda thought there was more they could do
She cost her tribe valuable time insisting they take it all
Ulong was debating while their opponents scaled a wall
Koror waded through a jungle swamp and boarded a canoe
For them paddling to retrieve a flag was an easy thing to do
The Koror tribe came in first and the flint was theirs to keep
Jolanda wondered if doom is what her actions will reap
Jeff gave the winning tribe the option of a change in scenery
They can stay at their beach or trade it for unknown greenery
Tom was the most vocal in favor of building a new home
Koror would now hit the water and leave Ulong all alone
With the Immunity idol and flint they boarded their boat
However for this tribe their journey did not stay afloat
They capsized offshore and to the bottom their flint sank
These survivors hope their game has not gone in the tank
Meanwhile Ulong faced Tribal Council later that night
This fate caused Jolanda and Angie considerable fright
Jolanda had a discussion with Ibrehem and Bobby Jon
The three agreed Angie's stay be short rather than long
She then spoke with Stephanie and admitted her mistake
Jolanda wanted Angie to be whom her tribe will forsake
But Stephanie and the other's had another plan in mind
They were sore over losing and wanted payback in kind
Jeff awaited their arrival for Tribal Council number one
The newly formed Ulong will count eight when it's done
One survivor's chance at victory will soon turn to scoff
With the dubious distinction of "first person voted off"
This players actions six others did not grow fond of
The torch that Jeff snuffed belonged to Jolanda
