Episode 11: "I'll Show You how Threatening I Am"

by Michele Kevany

Koror returned from Tribal and at their table they sat
Of the night's outcome Ian said "what the hell was that?"
Stephanie was worried that her alliance of four was kaput
Uncertain, she will try not to "shoot" herself "in the foot"
She told them she was mad that they wanted to keep Janu
Tom told her that was not what they were intending to do
After hearing Janu's plea, they were planning to oblige her
Whether this was to be believed, Stephanie was not sure
Gregg said Tom was attempting to ease Steph's doubts
To make her feel comfortable, not so much on the "outs"
Tom put the Immunity necklace around Stephanie's neck
Steph remained uneasy about the order they plan to peck
She felt the tables had been turned on her alliance of four
That Tom, Ian and Katie counted her a member no more
Gregg felt that as long as Stephanie keeps on progressing
With the tribe's internal dismantling Steph will be messing
He said Koror will fall apart and stab each-other in the back
Removing Steph from the game was a most important tact
Steph talked with Katie, asking who was running the show
Depriving Steph of information, Katie said she didn't know
Steph asked Katie if it was Gregg or Ian calling the shots
Yet another shurg from Katie put Steph's stomach in knots
Steph said she was determined to learn what was going on
She left Katie to eat her coconut and instead talked to Tom
Tom said he'd watch her back, as was promised on day one
But he couldn't "expose" himself, or his game might be done
Tom's ranking of her as a player in the game was "supreme"
It was therefore paramount that the last of Stephanie be seen
In a gently strategic manner, Tom made her aware of this fact
Stephanie became convinced her alliance was no longer intact
Tom told her this was not the scenario that he'd had in mind
Saying he "felt for her" because he was two ousting's behind
Later that morning Tom made a plea to his Koror tribemates
He hoped his strength wouldn't lead them to apply the brakes
Tom felt that by playing hard for them he had shown his hand
He didn't want to be penalized for having taken any command
The tribemates listened to Tom and his impassioned request
Though most believed sending him home would be for the best
Katie was ready to view her game from a different perspective
So when Stephanie approached Katie, she appeared receptive
Steph thought since they out-numbered the men four to three
They could vote as a block until there was no man left to see
Steph and Katie talked to Jennifer, who agreed with the plan
They also agreed, voting wise, Tom would be the first man
He was strong in challenges and was their major competition
Katie said she'd talk to Caryn about an all-woman coalition
Stephanie knew the men viewed her as a threat for Immunity
She said she would show them how threatening she could be
Meanwhile Jennifer and Katie returned with the tribe's treemail
A wallet led them to believe there'd be food and drink for sale
Something from home is what Tom hoped he could afford
The Koror tribe hiked off to meet Jeff for the next Reward
Jeff greeted them and had each take a seat by their name
Which had been written on a wallet with money to claim
The players were given five hundred dollars to keep or burn
In increments of twenty dollars each may take a bidding turn
Jeff announced the "Survivor Auction" was now in session
He then commenced the unveiling of a culinary procession
The first covered item Jeff offered had Ian in with "twenty"
After Jen topped his "one hundred", he felt that was plenty
After bidding "one hundred twenty", Ian let Jen have the say
Then Jeff removed a cover to reveal an ice cream sundae
Jumping to "forty" this time, Ian again opened the bidding
On the table next to Jeff he hoped a delicacy was sitting
Caryn upped that by twenty, and Ian raised her in kind
Then Gregg made a bid that put the money on the line
He called out "one hundred forty" and Ian added to that
After a shout out from Katie "one eighty" is where it sat
A bid of" two hundred" dollars was then placed by Steph
Caryn topped that when she yelled out "two twenty" to Jeff
Gregg and Ian teamed up with "two forty, one twenty apiece"
Steph and Caryn united, hoping "two sixty" would buy a feast
The bidding ended with the ladies, but before they would eat
Jeff offered them yet another hidden and possibly yummy treat
Caryn and Stephanie applied their nose's to aid an inspection
After a good sniff of each item they made a wise selection
The two were able to split a soda, cheeseburger and fries
Jeff then presented a large platter that widened Ian's eyes
He hoped a delicious lunch he would soon be able to savor
Ian made a bid of "one hundred" in anticipation of the flavor
A two person bid for "one sixty" was called by Jen and Katie
With his eyes still on the plate, Ian stayed in with "one eighty"
The three bid back to back, at "two eighty" cash was tight
Gregg made an offer to Ian of twenty dollars for one bite
For three hundred dollars Ian became the owner of the plate
He wished to claim his purchase, however Jeff had him wait
Jeff placed a crate on the table and had Ian make his pick
Ian told Jeff that with the original platter he would stick
Jeff unveiled to Ian a plate of spaghetti with meat sauce
Plus garlic bread and a bowl of parmesan cheese to toss
When he collected his meal Jeff told Ian "wow...you stink"
Then from a canister Jeff pulled out something to drink
He said the first survivor to pay forty dollars gets a beer
Ian bought that as well and ate and drank in good cheer
But not before having Gregg to take his twenty dollar bite
Jeff next placed a crate and Tom knew the time was right
They were told the metal crate contained letters from home
Missing a note from their family each would surely bemoan
Gregg began the bid, followed by Tom, Katie and Caryn
When the bid hit one hundred, it was Gregg or Tom to win
The price quickly increased as each did the other one better
But at "two hundred twenty" it was Tom who got his letter
Tom collected his purchase with emotion etched on his face
He shook Jeff's hand and sat down in his designated place
Jeff said for "two twenty" anyone may buy a letter as well
Steph, Katie, Caryn and Gregg thought that was just swell
Tom appeared as though he were rolling in four leaf clover
Then Jeff announced to the tribemates "this auction is over"
Back at camp, Stephanie had more than a few letters to read
She said they were "all the food and energy" she will need
With soap and a loofa in hand, Ian decided to take a bath
It was Jeff telling him he "reeked" that had Ian on this path
Though Ian had scoured hard, his back he could not rub
So he asked Gregg if he wouldn't mind giving it a scrub
The next morning Tom and Caryn strolled by the shore
It was the beginning of day twenty nine at camp Koror
Tom told Caryn he knew he was a target for the vote
Saying his chance of lasting much longer was remote
If they wanted him gone, sooner was better than later
To gain Caryn's trust, Tom did his best to placate her
As with Steph, he gave Caryn the "I've got your back"
Until the day comes when it is each other they'll attack
Though Caryn liked hearing she had an "in" with Tom
He had a bad feeling a jury seat he will soon sit upon
The tribe met Jeff to determine who will be eligible to go
Their safety at Tribal Council will depend on their throw
From atop a platform they will face thirty-five ceramic tiles
Set into a wooden grid in seven different colors and styles
Taking a toss with a coconut, they each have five to smash
The first with all five tiles broken will be "closer to the cash"
Ian was up first and smashed a tile in his designated red
Katie threw next, aimed for brown, but missed instead
Breaking his first tile didn't leave Gregg blue like his color
Then Jen, aiming for orange, took out the tile of another
Caryn took the platform next, missing her tile of white
Jen had already put her on the board so that was alright
Tom tried to take out green, but instead took out brown
Putting Katie on the board, who let out a jubilant sound
Stephanie was up next and put a yellow tile in her sight
She missed, and gave to Caryn her second broken white
Ian threw again, and another red tile came crashing down
After Katie's try for brown an orange tile hit the ground
It was blue Gregg aimed for, but he smashed red instead
Now with three tiles broken, Ian was the survivor who led
Jen aimed for orange, but took out one of Tom's green
Caryn's toss at white ended in one less brown to be seen
Then Tom tossed a coconut toward green and got a hit
After Stephanie's second toss, her total remained at zip
Ian had three points, Caryn, Tom and Katie each had two
Gregg and Jen had one and Steph had some work to do
Leading off the third round, Ian made it three for three
Katie breaking another orange had Jen beaming with glee
Gregg hit a blue and up one more his score was brought
Then Jennifer broke the targeted orange tile she sought
Caryn missed, and in the process put Steph in the game
Tom made his next shot, but Steph did not do the same
With alittle help from Gregg, Ian was still ahead with four
Whether he or another hits red, he only needs one more
Ian's fourth toss smashed a yellow, missing his red mark
Steph was on the board with two points, even if by a lark
Katie took a toss at a brown tile, Gregg followed with blue
They both made their shots and were up three from two
Jen and Caryn went up next, each one missing their tile
Instead of green, Tom smashed red and made Ian smile
There were no more red tiles left on the grid to detect
Jeff placed Immunity around Ian's freshly scrubed neck
The next day the tribe was shelter bound due to rain
It made it difficult to talk any strategy about the game
Tom predicted once the weather cleared they'd all bolt
To ensure the dogging of a dreaded Tribal Council jolt
Once it stopped, Katie and Caryn left to gather snails
Katie told Caryn a way to put some wind in her sails
By voting with the women her voyage may go smoother
The men will turn, so this foursome would behoove her
Katie said that eventually she had planned to jump ship
Though she loves Tom, his survivor wings need a clip
Caryn said she would consider it and reply before long
But first she laid out the blueprint's of this plan to Tom
Tom inquired why Caryn had shared this information
She at least had a prayer within a female congregation
Reminding Tom if there was news to tell him, she would
Tom realized how deep in survivor quicksand he stood
He promptly relayed the plot to Ian, who then told Katie
Katie played coy, which led Ian to view Caryn as shady
Wanting to divert the accusation, Katie shifted it to Tom
Saying they know he must go because Tom's the bomb
Katie told Ian though difficult, it was the job to get done
If they don't they may no longer have a game to be won
Katie believed Tom's strength could ensure him a stay
Ian disagreed, saying "it's not going to happen that way"
The tribal dynamics had put Ian's head in three directions
Steph and Tom were threats and Caryn cried insurrections
Meanwhile Gregg counted on the tribe to stick to their plan
He wanted Steph's footprint's to be banished from the sand
Steph said she was still standing after all she'd been through
She had planted the seeds, there was no more she could do
On night thirty they gathered for Tribal Council and Jeff
After tonight's ceremony there will be a six survivors left
It being Koror's fourth Tribal visit, they knew what to do
After they placed their torches in walked Coby and Janu
Jeff asked, after thirty days, if paranoia was settling in
Ian felt they were a tight tribe, yet each was there to win
Stephanie felt Koror was on the verge of coming apart
Into each one's direction may soon fly a poisoness dart
As to the vote, Steph said "whatever is meant to happen"
Of her experience not even a torch snuffing could dampen
Jeff asked Tom if playing hard had him short on defenses
Tom told Jeff that he would "live with the consequences"
Steph was aware Koror viewed her as their main threat
She believed keeping Tom would be their's to regret
Six votes proved the threat they felt this player to be
The torch that Jeff snuffed belonged to Stephanie
