Poetic Recaps
by Michele Kevany
On night six Jeff and Kim were warm and cozy
Kim said she felt that Jeff Probst had been nosy
All of Jeff question's regarding her possible bond
Had Kim feeling nervous she might soon be gone
If her tribemates think she has an alliance of two
Breaking it apart would be the smart thing to do
Both denied a pact, stating they were merly cold
Ulong was not buying what they were being sold
Concerning these two, the tribe had their numbers
Despite what Jeff and Kim say about their slumbers
The next morning at Koror it was rainy, cold and wet
Coby was upset they had not finished their shelter yet
It had been three days since they landed on new ground
Being cold and wet at night had Coby wearing a frown
Caryn's grin wasn't any better due to friction with Katie
After seven days she perceived her to be a "tart" lady
All the non-stop commentary Caryn had trouble abiding
She'd had it and wished her back Katie would stop riding
In anger she let Katie know she was not digging the vibe
Later Caryn wondered if she damaged her place in the tribe
The Reward Challenge held a prize that each hoped to snare
A sewing kit and material to cover up the tattered underwear
Before any stitches could be made a game had to be played
On a post each tribe hoped to have three life preservers laid
In three round's selected members from each tribe will duel
Using skills that were honed in a childhood swimming pool
Jeff P. will pull a lever which will release a ring from below
They need to swim out, grab it, and try to keep it in tow
The tribes had a floating pontoon they would need to tag
Three taps with a ring in hand and the Rewards in the bag
In rounds one and two a member from both tribes will fight
To wrestle the ring from each other will take all their might
In the last round there will be two from each tribe to combat
Playing hard could guard your chance's from both slim and fat
Jeff said, short of hitting, they could splash as well as dunk
The losing tribe's desire for the sewing kit would be sunk
Now that the survivors knew what this challenge was about
Jeff pulled a lever after having Caryn and Willard sit out
Round one had begun with Tom and Jeff leading the war
Whatever strength Tom brought Jeff hoped to bring more
When Tom got the ring he placed it around his waist
An unfortunate strategy he had implemented in haste
Jeff grabbed the ring and with Tom in tow he swam
Tom scurried out and let his foolish plan be damned
Though he tried hard to recover and gave his utmost
Jeff tagged his pontoon and put a ring on Ulong's post
In round two Stephanie and Jen had a fearsome match
Dunking and splashing left each with a breath to catch
In the aggressiveness department it was Stephanie who led
Jen's main concern was maintaining an above water head
Though Jen hoped victory for her tribe she would bring
Stephanie reached her pontoon with Ulong's second ring
In round three Koror's warriors would be Janu and Gregg
Ulong's Bobby Jon and Angie will try to win this last leg
Angie proved herself once again to be a formidable foe
Somehow in the watery melee Janu's eye took a blow
Gregg was now alone to fend off Angie and Bobby Jon
Ulong's ring was placed and Koror's hopes were gone
At camp Bobby Jon said they "kicked tail" for the Reward
Ibrehem was uncertain what use a sewing kit would afford
Bobby Jon had great ideas for ways to help his tribe
He just wished he could get the majority to look alive
At Koror Gregg, Tom and Ian cornered a banded sea snake
Though poisonous they thought of the dinner it would make
Ian loves animals but knew not to be a fuddy-duddy
He chopped off it's head and said "sorry little buddy"
Before they brought the catch back to their tribe's shore
Katie and Jen looked on as the men caught three more
When they returned to camp they hung up their prey
It meant nourishment and strength for another day
The snakes attracted a shark, so with spears in hand
Gregg, Tom and Ian devised yet another deadly plan
They threw a snake into the water to lure back the shark
But the big fish escaped the spears with nary a mark
That night at Ulong Jeff walked to the "little boys room"
En route he took a fall that game wise could spell doom
He rolled his foot on a coconut and it took a fast bend
Jeff predicted his survivor days were now at an end
The possibility of an early departure was all too real
Next morning he pondered his swollen achilles heel
Though he had hoped for time to give his ankle a rest
He learned very shortly that it would be put to the test
Bobby Jon fetched the treemail and Jeff read the poem
If their tribal strength is lacking somebody will go home
Not one foresaw the Immunity Challenge on day eight
Jeff hoped that his injury would not seal Ulong's fate
The idol was "up for grabs" and will be won in a race
Immunity will go to the tribe that has the fastest pace
An oval course was set up, a tribe clipped to either side
They will wade through the waters of an incoming tide
Each tribe was attached to a common rope they will share
They carried backpacks with twenty pounds of sand to bear
The object was to be the first tribe to tag their opposition
This grueling course would require good physical condition
If one should need to unclip they must hand off their weight
Extra backpacks could hinder a remaining tribemate's gait
While their host was sitting out Koror's Jen and Janu
Jeff realized for his tribe there was nothing he could do
The second Jeff Probst had spoken "Survivors ready...Go!"
Jeff gave his weight to Bobby Jon for he knew he'd be slow
Bobby Jon carried forty pounds and soon Tom did the same
After making a slip Caryn unclipped and was out of the game
As Willard passed his weight to Gregg, Ulong drew near
The tribe was making good progress bringing up the rear
Until Kim dropped out, handing her weight to Bobby Jon
Followed by Angie who left her load for James to carry on
Koror was down one more as Katie unclipped from the line
She handed her backpack to Ian and Coby followed in kind
Ian passed Coby's weight to Tom, who now had sixty pounds
Tom shouldered on as Koror continued to make the rounds
James passed Bobby Jon a weight in hopes of gaining relief
Then quit and gave him the rest, adding to Bobby Jon's grief
The Koror tribe was now down to Ian, Gregg and Tom
Stephanie, Bobby and Ibrehem were still in for Ulong
After many laps were trod Koror was narrowing the chase
When Ian caught up to Ibrehem it was the end of the race
Koror won Immunity and was overcome with weary glee
While Ulong was looking at Tribal Council number three
Back at camp Jeff told his tribe to write his name down
He could do them no good and should not stick around
The majority of his tribe was not in agreement with him
They hoped this Tribal Council would see the end of Kim
For the third time in eight days they hiked into the night
Another survivors torch will soon be stripped of it's light
After saying hello to their host the tribe took a seat
Jeff P. asked if an injury was why they had gotten beat
Ibrehem felt without Jeff they had a lesser chance to win
Bobby Jon credited Koror's Tom as "a man among men"
Jeff once again requested that they grant him his wish
But his life in the game some were hesitant to squish
Each agreed that strength could ensure another day
Ulong cast the votes to send another player away
With just six players left the tribe might feel bereft
The torch that Jeff snuffed belonged to Jeff
