Poetic Recaps
by Michele Kevany
Ulong returned to camp the night of their fifth straight Tribal
James was stewing over their loss and he held Ibrehem libel
Stephanie felt the tribe's lack of listening skills was to blame
James said three failed dives is what put the tribe to shame
Bobby Jon disagreed, saying "win as a team, lose as a team"
Ibrehem thought it the "craziest" Tribal Council he'd ever seen
On the morning of day thirteen he knelt and bowed to pray
Ibrehem gave thanks to the heavens for allowing him to stay
The Koror tribe felt energized from the previous night's feast
After their first Tribal vote Willard was not missed in the least
They finished up their camp's chores and had time left to play
Katie made necklaces for what Coby dubbed "Koror Craft Day"
A puppet show Ian and Katie performed gave Ulong a teasing
Most enjoyed their parody, but Caryn found it less than pleasing
Caryn viewed Katie's role as "entertainer" and she'd had enough
She wished elsewhere for the sock on Katie's hand to be stuffed
Katie and Janu fetched the treemail which said they will take aim
It's a shooting competition for the next Reward of the game
The Koror tribe of eight now had twice the members of Ulong
At the challenge Koror discovered the latest Ulongian gone
Sixteen tiles had been strung in Ulong blue and Koror brown
Each tribe had eight tiles and they would need to be shot down
They will each be firing a replica of a fifty caliber artillery gun
Mai Tai's, Pringles and a surreal adventure is the prize to be won
The winners will board a Japanese boat and sail to Jellyfish Lake
After the chips and drinks there'll be a snorkle in which to partake
Koror, being up four, chose to sit out Janu, Katie, Ian and Jenn
The tribes played "rock paper scissors" and Ulong would begin
Bobby Jon took the first shot but his aim was off the mark
Then Gregg followed Bobby Jon with his own shot in the dark
James fired guns before and felt he'd make a shot that mattered
After he pulled the trigger there was not one Ulong tile shattered
Coby's initial walk to Koror's small canon became a failed trip
With two shoot-outs completed the two tribes were even at zip
Ibrehem missed a tile as well, though Tom's shot got it done
Ulong's score remained zero while Koror was now at one
Stephanie took out her target and put Ulong on the board
After Steph tied the tribes Caryn fired with no point scored
Bobby Jon and Gregg fired again and each smashed a tile
Yet for James and Coby it wasn't worth either one's while
Ibrehem out-fired Tom putting Ulong ahead three to two
Stephanie and Caryn each hit a tile before they were through
Bobby Jon and Gregg both added a point for their tribe
The third time wasn't a charm for James and Coby's pride
Ibrehem and Tom missed, Ulong still led five to four
Stephanie and Caryn stepped up and got a hit once more
In their fourth match-up Bobby Jon and Gregg took aim
Bobby Jon scored a point and then Gregg did the same
James misfired but Coby's shot made it a seven-seven tie
The next shots fired by Ibrehem and Tom were "do or die"
Their last gun blasts failed so it was on Stephanie and Caryn
Ulong or Koror will have a magical experience to share in
Stephanie fired and her tribe's last tile came crashing down
Caryn missing her shot meant Ulong was off to jellyfish town
The tribe paddled out to a "one of a kind" Japanese boat
For Ulong the mai tai's and Pringles hit just the right note
The chips came with "Survivor" trivia for them to mull about
Bobby Jon made a toast which he called the "from here on out"
Stephanie felt it was a "whole new chapter" for the Ulong team
They docked, climbed a hill and beheld a wondrous scene
In a lake they will snorkel alongside harmless puffs of splendor
To the millions of jellyfish Ulong's imagination will surrender
Bobby Jon felt euphoric and cherished this otherworldly realm
They reflected on their Reward as their escort again took the helm
On night thirteen rain and wind gave the Koror tribe a pounding
The morning after the storm Janu was having trouble rebounding
Tom tried to comfort and calm her after a night most traumatic
Katie believed yet again that Janu was being overly dramatic
At Ulong Ibrehem retrieved the next treemail's weighty instructions
From inside a crate a note was read with telegraph interruptions
Each tribe opened a footlocker to find the flag of their opposition
To keep the enemy from raising it depends on the crate's condition
They were given rope to secure the captive emblem of their foe
With crate in tow off to an Immunity Challenge they would go
James assured his Ulong tribemates the his lone knot would suffice
It didn't appear James made Bobby, Steph or Ibrehem think twice
Ulong and Koror met Jeff with their foot lockers in attendance
Jeff relayed to them a sturdy obstacle will spare any repentance
The tribe's will be given twenty minutes to further encumber
In addition to the rope they will have to cope with lumber
Three bales of wood per tribe were floating just off the beach
The lumber will help them to keep their captive flag out of reach
They'll be given additional rope to aid a formidable stronghold
Tying the other tribe up in knots could leave them out in the cold
When the time is up they will dismantle their guarded fortress
For the first tribe to raise their flag Tribal Council will be missed
The four Koror sat out were Tom, Gregg, Coby and Caryn
The sixth Immunity Challenge of the game was ready to begin
Jennifer and Ian quickly swam out to retrieve the bales of wood
Ulong's Bobby, Steph and Ibrehem felt all three of them should
Stephanie and Bobby Jon reached the wood and headed ashore
It wasn't clearly apparent what Ibrehem was in the water for
Katie and Janu stayed on land adding more knots to their crate
But James had a skirt to mend and his knots would have to wait
Jenn and Ian brought in the wood and Koror reinforced their fort
They piled it on and shoved it any which way it would contort
James tied a few more knots while Ulong built a gauntlet strong
Jeff then announced that their twenty minutes were now gone
The tibes switched sides and began the rescue of their flag
Ulong was making progress while Koror appeared to lag
Janu and Katie's many knots gave Ulong cause to worry
While Koror was able to undo James' work in a hurry
They opened their crate first and to the flagpole they ran
Koror attached their flag and then raised it above the sand
Jeff handing a Kororian the idol was a now familiar sight
He then said to Ulong "Tribal Council tomorrow night"
There was much conversation at Ulong the following day
Bobby talked with Stephanie hoping her vote he could sway
She wanted to cast her ballot for an end to Ibrehem's game
He was her first choice last time and tonight it'll be the same
Bobby Jon wanted James out based on a vote cast for him
He believed James had written his name, not Steph or Ibrehem
It was Stephanie who gave Bobby a vote but to him she lied
The truth would erase any trust and she'd be out of the tribe
Stephanie asked James if he was certain Bobby had his back
James trusted Bobby and wished Ibrehem the need to pack
Stephanie believed a tie could put their "butt's on the line"
When this night is over there will be three left from nine
Ulong arrived for their sixth Tribal Council on night fifteen
Jeff mentioned not one Immunity victory have they seen
He said at the last challenge James had dropped the ball
Though certainly true James said he shouldn't take the fall
Jeff asked Stephanie if the tribe viewed her word as good
She said she could be trusted and on her word she stood
To Ibrehem Jeff asked if he felt he was "cut out" to play
He said he's learned more of what he can do during his stay
Steph want's an Immunity win to end the dreaded Tribal rote
Jeff told the remaining Ulong four that it was "time to vote"
When the tally was read it was even for James and Ibrehem
Excluding these two, Steph and Bobby Jon will vote again
Tonight's Tribal victim would be one of two names
The torch that Jeff snuffed belonged to James
