Two episodes into the new season of Survivor Panama: Exile Island it is time to grade this new batch of castaways on how they're doing in the game. The Castaways have now been broken down into two tribes. They are beginning to settle in and a few alliances have formed.
Grade Legend: A = Excellent | B = Very Good | C = Good | D = Poor | F = Very Poor
Aras D+: His brutal honesty and arrogance could be his downfall. I would have graded Aras with an F but his alliance saves him. He could make the merge if he can bring it down a notch.
Austin B: Austin is in a good position. He is letting Nick do all the dirty work while he sits back and takes it all in. Nick will take all the heat and Austin will slip by right to the merge.
Bobby F: Who is Bobby? Better get in the game or it will pass you by. Pre-merge boot.
Bruce C-: Bruce should have been searching for the hidden immunity instead of wasting time doing his Kata. He was safe from the next Tribal Council so it wasn't a huge mistake. I hope Bruce doesn't let many opportunities pass him by, Possible merge.
Cirie D: Self pity won't get you far. I was impressed with her “take charge of your own fate” attitude in the 1st episode but she didn't show the same determination last week. She was ready to lay down in defeat. Pre-merge boot.
Courtney C+: Good strategy forming an alliance early but big mistake keeping Shane. Courtney should have approached Cirie and Melinda about voting off the whiney quitter. This would have solidified her strength . I lowered her grade just for not getting rid of Shane. She will make the merge regardless.
Dan A-: A solid alliance with Terry will carry Dan far into the game. Possible Final 4 with Terry.
Danielle C: I graded Danielle almost the same as Courtney but slightly lower. They are together in the alliance with Aras and Shane but Courtney is the clear leader. Danielle is along for the ride. Possible Merge.
Misty B+: Misty has game. She will and is playing all the cards. Misty will definitely make the merge.
Nick B: Riding the fence can be dangerous. Nick was approached by both Terry and later Sally to form an alliance. He must make a decision and go with it. I see a pre-merge boot, playing both sides will not work.
Ruth C: The numbers are against her right now but she could slip through to the merge while everyone else is focused on taking out their biggest threats. She is the forgotten one. Possible merge.
Sally D: Big blunder made by Sally. Lost the spear! Sally is very lucky that her tribe didn’t lose the immunity challenge, because they might have just voted her out due to her stupidity. Shortly after La Mina won the fishing gear in the Reward Challenge, she shot the spear into deep water and lost it. I could hear Rupert screaming from my house. Terry's empty stomach won't allow her to stick around, pre-merge boot.
Shane F: What can I say, this guy is off the wall. Although Shane is in an alliance of 4 his allies cannot trust him because of his antics. If he doesn't calm down and keep his mouth shut I doubt they will keep him around. Look for a pre-merge boot.
Terry A-: Terry is strong, smart and knows when to keep quiet. Good strategy in approaching Nick and Austin with a proposition for an all male alliance including Dan. Possible Final 4
Melinda F: Melinda receives an F obviously because she was voted out. But she never gave herself a chance. She didn't try to convince Courtney and Danielle that Shane is out of mind and can not be trusted. She simply didn't try, she might as well have laid her torch down herself.
Of course this all speculation on my part, so don't fear any spoilers from this article. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out. During the course of the season mistakes will be made, good strategic moves will take place, challenges will be strenuous, twists will be revealed and Shane will annoys us, I'm certain it will be entertaining
