Survivor's Lady Luck

Sally

Game twist saves Sally from another Tribal Council

Sally, the sole surviving woman from the La Mina tribe, is last in the pecking order. Her next visit to Tribal Council would have been her last. The Boys Club alliance is solid and there was no way for Sally to work her way in. Yet again she was spared from being voted off Survivor Panama: Exile Island.

Talk about being lucky. Sally's head has been on the chopping block the past 2 times La Mina had to choose someone to vote out. Last week, she was a sure goner after Dan made a pact with Ruth to be the fifth in their alliance. But after a strong performance in the challenge Sally was clearly to the strongest of the two. Terry, the supreme commander, made the decision to oust Ruth over Sally for the good of the tribe. This week it was Casaya's decision that saved her.

The twist, Jeff Probst announced before the challenge, that the person banished to Exile Island would be safe from that evenings Tribal Council could not have come at a better time. Who would have thought that Exile Island would be her saving grace. And we know there was no hidden immunity idol for her to find because Terry found that on his first trip to the island. So there was no chance for Sally to save herself.

But how much longer can Sally dodge bullets? If she can somehow make it to the merge she has a good chance. She would be reunited with Danielle and Courtney from the original tribe of Younger Woman. With Shane's insanity breaking up the Casaya alliance, Danielle and Courtney should be looking to increase their numbers and Sally is a perfect fit. Otherwise the boys will pick them off one at a time.

Speaking of Shane, he's had a bit of luck himself. The Immunity challenge win could not have come at a better time for him. He is driving everyone at camp and himself insane. His sudden outbursts towards his tribemates is a sure ticket home. Danielle and Courtney are at their wits end and are ready to cut him loose. Shane was as good as gone if Casaya didn't come from behind to win immunity.

Looking ahead, the previews state there is a medical emergency and one castaway could be forced from the game. If in fact someone does exit the game because of medical reasons bringing the number of castaways down to 10, Shane and Sally make the merge. Unfortunate for the person injured. I do hope it is nothing serious, after all it is just a game.
